Dorothy H. Baize Strickland, 87, of Dyersburg, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.

She was a retired factory worker for HECO and a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Leonard Ballinger officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 1-3 p.m. Friday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her two daughters, Jewel Lewis and husband, Doug, and Regina Ford and husband, Willie, all of Dyersburg; two sons, Leon Baize and wife, Pearl, of Dyersburg and Ronnie Baize and wife, Barbara, of Finley; six grandchildren, Bryan Lewis, Chad Lewis, John Ford, Tricia Ford, Barbie Russell and Tabitha Allen; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Baize and James C. Strickland; her parents, Bailey and Georgia Finley Howard; five sisters, Moline Baize, Nina Howard, Ona Gilstrap, Aileen Emery and Bonnie Daugherty; and a brother, Orville Howard.

Pallbearers will be Doug Lewis, Willie Ford, Brian Lewis, Chad Lewis, Hunter Russell, John Ford, Tommy Russell and Kris Allen.
