Doris Crum Swafford, 86, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Canterbury Place.

She was born on July 30, 1932, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late Shelby and Edith Rainey Crum. Doris was retired from Sylvania. She was a member of the Dyersburg First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday School Class. Doris also loved being with her grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2019 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Annetta Camp and the Rev. Perry Grills officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2019 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Swafford Manoni of Orlando, FL; a son, Glenn Dawayne Swafford of Newbern, TN; a special niece, Beverly Gatlin Fowlkes of Dyersburg, TN; five grandchildren, Michael Swafford of Little Rock, AR, William Swafford of Columbus, GA, Leigh Anne Lechanski of Arlington, VA, Abbey Maurer of Tallahassee, FL and Andrew Phillips of Orlando, FL; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Swafford.

Pallbearers will be Michael Swafford, William Graham Swafford, Andrew Phillips, Steve Brannon, Kerry Brannon and Jeff Brannon. Honorary pallbearers will be Danny Fowlkes, Dan Fowlkes, Chuck Maurer and Andrew Lechanski.
