Doris Ochanon Kirkpatrick was taken from our world to a beautiful place called heaven on April 7th. . She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and devoted friend to many. She never met a stranger and always had a smile on her face. She was a very giving person and was a life-long member of the Church of Christ.  She and her husband, MD Kirkpatrick JR owned and operated "a Country Corner grocery store and used car lot" on Hwy 78 where many happy memories were made.

She leaves behind daughter Brenda Minchew (Calvin), Grand-daughter Sharon Broussard (Ronnie), Great-Grand-son Joseph Broussard and 3 step-grandchildren Phillip, Wesley, and Sherman, Minchew. She also leaves behind 2 brothers, JL (Boochie) Berry, Marcus Berry, and one sister Connie Parker, and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, MD Kirkpatrick Jr, Her parents John Frank and Maudie Berry, Brother Billy Berry and Sister MIldred Baltezor

Her viewing will be Monday Evening from 6-8 p.m. at Burrus Chapel Church of Christ (also known as Keefe Church of Christ).

Her Funeral will be Tuesday Afternoon at 1 p.m. also at Burrus Chapel Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Tiptonville Cemetery beside her loving husband, MD Kirkpatrick,JR. With whom she will be sharing 72 years of marriage with in Heaven on April 19th. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Steve Jones, David Salmon, Kendall Salmon, Duke Baltezor, Bubba Todd and Jamey Beal. Honorary pallbearers will be J.C. Williams, Macie Roberson, Richard Runion and Fred Pollock.
