Doris Jean Gant's Obituary
Doris Jean Gant, 84, of Tiptonville, passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Dickson Health & Rehab in Dickson, TN.
She was a retired secretary for Dr. Jack Holifield. She was also a member of Burrus Chapel Church of Christ.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Tiptonville Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Ray King officiating. Burial will be in Lake Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her son, Mike Gant and wife, Joyce, of Bon Aqua, TN; and a sister, Lois Huffstutter of Tiptonville, TN.
Ms. Gant was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Gant; her parents, Fred and Rosie Lawrence Young; and a brother, Bobby Young.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Tittle, Timmy Gant, Gilbert Parnell, Billy Wayne Orr, Stephen Turner, and William Cantrell. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Taylor, Randy Young, and Jimmy Young.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Alzheimer's Association or to a charity of the donor's choice.
