Doris Laverne Corum's Obituary
Doris Laverne Corum, 86, of Dyersburg, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.
She was a retired clerk for Western Auto, member of First Baptist Church, where she taught children's classes for over fifty years and was a member of Fidelis Sunday School Class and was an accomplished seamstress.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Hickman officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband of seventy years, Charles T. Corum of Dyersburg; a daughter, Katherine Ann Curtis and husband, Gerald, of Dyersburg; two grandchildren, Maryevelyn Scott and husband, Tim, of Atoka and Gerald Taylor Curtis and wife, Nicole, of Dyersburg; and five great-grandchildren, Samantha Anne Scott, T.J. Scott, Trey Scott, Emilee K. Curtis and Eliza C. Curtis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Ola Williams Wyatt.
Pallbearers will be Taylor Curtis, Gerald Curtis, T.J. Scott, Lance Hood, Tim Scott and Tommy Rice.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the building fund of First Baptist Church.
