Doris Hopgood Coker, 70, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2023 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

Doris was born on January 6, 1953, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late Buster and Mary Nichols Hopgood. She made ice cream for Unilever Ice Cream - South Plant and was a former employee of Dyersburg Fabrics. Doris was a good cook and loved her family, children and grandchildren. She was a member of Church Grove Baptist Church.

Memorial services will be at 5 p.m. Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her companion, Terry Adkins of Dyersburg, TN; three sons, Kyle Coker of Nesbit, MS, Joseph Coker of El Paso, TX and Shawn Coker of Roellen, TN; two sisters, Polly Chambers (Tony) of Dyersburg, TN and Mary Alice Evans of Roellen, TN; two brothers, Clifford Hopgood and Jimmy Hopgood, both of Dyersburg, TN; eight grandchildren, A.J. Coker, Corey Coker, Noah Coker, Millie Coker, Easton Coker, Nicholas Coker, Nichole Coker and Lulu Coker; and five great-grandchildren.
