Mrs. Dora Jane Richards, of Dyersburg, passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023 at West Tennessee Healthcare-Jackson General Hospital.  She was born August 18, 1946 in Wayne County TN to the late Clyde & Connie McCutcheon.  Dora Jane was truly devoted to her family.  Her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces & great-nephews were the center of her life.  She spent 28 years alongside her husband as independent owner-operators of a long-haul trucking business.  She and her husband were long-time members of Evansville Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Johnny Wade Richards & wife, Barbara, her grandsons, Michael Richards & wife, Lauran, Benjamin Richards and Bradley Hudson & wife, Darian, as well as her brothers Bobby (Joyce), David and James (Michelle) McCutcheon, her sisters, Robbie Anderson, Glenda Slater (Paul), Dale Nail (Stanley), and Gail McCann (Carlton).  She was preceded in death by her husband, of 53 years, John W. Richards, her parents, Clyde "Junior" & Connie McCutcheon, her brothers, Terry Lynn & Ralph McCutcheon, her brother-in-law, Bill Anderson, her sister-in-law, Pat McCutcheon, and her nephew, Barry Anderson.

Visitation will be held at Dyersburg Funeral Home from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2023 and on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until funeral services begin at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home.  Services will be conducted by Bro. Danny Griffin and Bro. Larry Koonce. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.

Pallbearers will be Mike, Mark & Bobby Winchester, Bradley Hudson, Sean Slater and Chad Richards.
