Donzel Stanfill, 76, of Ridgely, TN, passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2023 at the West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

Donzel was born on April 27, 1947, in Ridgely, TN, to the late, Luke Felix Stanfill and Maggie Paschall Stanfill. He was a Sergeant with the Northwest Tennessee Correctional Complex and enjoyed spending time with his dog "Happy D" every day. Donzel graduated from Lake County High School in 1964 and went on to attend Memphis State and DSCC. He enjoyed woodworking, watching football, being a farmer and listening to all types of music.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, August 11, 2023 in the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Chuck Graham officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, August 10, 2023 at the Dyersburg Funeral Home Ridgely Chapel.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Hall Stanfill of Ridgely, TN; a son, Andrew Donzel Stanfill of Ridgely, TN; and his sister-in-law, Janey Wyrick of Ridgely, TN.

In addition to his parents, Donzel was preceded in death by a sister, Joan Taylor.

Pallbearers will be David Paschall, George Neblett, Scotty Johnson, Ken Jones, Ben Parker and Greg Paschall. Honorary pallbearer will be Leslie Parker.
