Donna Wayne Emery, 83, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at her residence.

Donna was born on August 18, 1937, in Carbondale, IL, to the late Wayne and Louise Parkhill. She was a long-standing member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and enjoyed 28 years serving as the church's organist.  She spent 13 years as a piano teacher for many in the community. Donna was the first President of the local Parrish Council of Catholic Women, was an avid reader and was deemed the best cook ever according to those who knew her.

Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Holy Angels Catholic Church with Father Patrick Hirtz officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 3-4 p.m. Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Holy Angels Catholic Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Therese Warmath and Martie Emery, both of Dyersburg, TN and Cathy Williams of Orlando, FL; two sons, Joseph Emery (Brooke) and Guy Emery, all of Dyersburg, TN; nine grandchildren, Jesse Warmath, Paige Vandagrifft (Joey), Nicole Bertholomey (Louis), Kaleigh Lancaster (Jeremy), Matthew Williams, Sarah Emery, Mary Emery, Rachel Emery and Heather Emery; eight great-grandchildren, Ryne Vandagrifft, Oliver Vandagrifft, Cameran Lynn, Hunter Lynn, Tyler Pierce, Noah Bertholomey, Riley Emery and soon-to-arrive, Mason Lancaster; two nieces, Angie Fichtel and Melissa Harpool (Keith); and two nephews, Chris Neely and Brent Neely.

In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Jetton; a sister, Linda Louise Neely; and two grandchildren, Carrie Beth Warmath and Brad Fowlkes.

Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital, to Holy Angels Building Fund or to a charity of the donor's choice.
