Donald Dwane Tippit's Obituary
Donald Dwane Tippit, 66, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was retired from Goodyear in Union City, a member and chairman of the Board of Trustees at Lake Road Baptist Church, and a former member of the Tennessee National Guard.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Lake Road Baptist Church with the Rev. Buddy Weeks and the Rev. Glen Holifield officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. today at the church.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Tippit of Dyersburg; two daughters, Donna Parson of Dyersburg and Amanda Hollingsworth of Newbern; a son, David Tippit of Dyersburg; three brothers, Eugene Tippit, Howard Tippit and Dale Tippit, all of Ridgely; six grandchildren, Heather Rogers, Walter Parson Jr., Presley Tippit, Erica Hollingsworth, Josh Chadwick and Caleb Hollingsworth; and a great-grandchild, Hayden Rogers.
Pallbearers will be Rhodney Eason, Randy Eason, Bradley Eason, Kelly Tippit, Allen Tippit, Steve Kozbiel and Jeff Collier.
