Donald Ray Summers, 59, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, July 3, 2011 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a former forklift operator for Heckethorn Mfg., where he worked for 16 years and a member of Westside Baptist Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Deal officiating. Burial will be in Sorrells Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Lydia Summers of Dyersburg; three daughters, Amanda Wimberley, Crystal Summers and Melissa Hinson; seven sons, Tommy Warden, Jeff Warden, Steven Eaves, Jonathan Eaves, Jason Summers, Scotty Summers and Chris Friese; five daughter-in-laws; three son-in-laws; four sisters, Carolyn Perry, Glenda Cartwright, Brenda Glass of Pensacola, FL. and Audry Garrett; two brothers, Raymond Summers and Gaylon Summers; thirty-four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Ethel Burse Summers; a sister, Cherry Buchanan; two brothers, Bobby Summers and Billy Summers; and a granddaughter, Jordan Summers.
Pallbearers will be Roger Cravens, Tony Webb, Frankie Ables, Jimmy Childress, Phillip Hawks, Jr., Jimmy Pugh and Matt Pitts. Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Millner and Ronnie Austin.
