Donald Scott, 61, of Ridgely, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at his residence.

Donald farmed from an early age until he was 30. After farming, he worked for Colonial Rubber in Dyersburg and then went to work for the City of Ridgely, where he worked for 10 years.

Services will be at 12 p.m. Tuesday in the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Carl Southerland officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.

The Scott Family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Libby Scott of Ridgely; two sons, Gary Scott and Josh Scott, both of Ridgely; a sister, Pamela Gladden of Ridgely; five brothers, Rodney Johnson and wife, Angie, and Terry Johnson, all of Ridgely, Paul Johnson and wife, Patsy, of Savannah, Jackie Johnson of Dyersburg and Gary Scott of Louisiana; and four grandchildren, Andrew Scott, Jared Scott, Laura Beth Scott and Nathan Scott.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Onie Paschall Johnson; two sisters, Peggy Carrington and Bonnie Tucker; two brothers, Benny Johnson and Billy Johnson; and his grandparents, Claude and Dealia Paschall, William Leffler Johnson and Verlie Johnson.

Pallbearers will be Terry Johnson, Jr., Michael Ford, Jackie Howell, Cotton Brewer, Nick Johnson, Terry Hinson, Chris Tate and Joe Flowers. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Goodlett, W.C. Roberson and Cletus Johnson.
