Donald Dennis McGuire, age 77, of Dyersburg, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016 at his residence.

He was a retired engineer for Questor and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was an avid horseman and gardener and member of Springhill Baptist Church.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Dyer County Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Billy Gene Brooks officiating. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Survivors include his son, Austin McGuire, and wife Allyson, of Dyersburg; his daughter, Carla Roys, and husband, Johnny, of Amarillo, Texas; four brothers, James McGuire and David McGuire of Dyersburg; Ronald McGuire of Jackson; and Sam McGuire of Millsfield; two grandchildren, Colton Roys and Sidney Roys; and one granddaughter, Hadley Roys.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Bonnie McGuire, and his four brothers, Wiliam "Pug" McGuire, George Henson, Gene "Whitey" McGuire, and Glen "Biggie" McGuire.
