Mr. Donald Ray "Pete" Hudson, 61, of Friendship, TN, passed away Friday, August 16, 2024 at West Tennessee Healthcare-Jackson General Hospital.  Pete was born January 6, 1963 to the late Lemmie & Sally Hudson.  He proudly served in the United States Navy and was a long-time supporter of local veterans' organizations.  He was an Industrial Maintenance Instructor at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Newbern.  He is remembered for his love of sharing his knowledge and skills by repairing items for family and friends.  He enjoyed time in his workshop tinkering on cars, computers and electronics.

He is survived by his wife, of 42 years, Triana Cooper Hudson, his sons; Jonathon (Jessica), David (Julia) & Joel Hudson, his brother, James Hudson, his sisters; Marlene Laskowski, Vanessa Hudson & Penny Presley as well as several nieces, nephews & great-nieces & nephews.  He is preceded in death by his father, Lemmie Arnel Hudson, his mother, Sally Floyd Hudson Smith and step-father, Donald Smith.

Visitation will be held at Dyersburg Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 beginning at 4:00 p.m.  A Celebration of Life service will begin at 6:30 p.m. led by Bro. Nathe Ozment.  Mr. Jim Beasley will serve as honorary pallbearer.

The family request that memorials be directed to the students of TCAT-Newbern or to a veterans' organization of choice.
