Donald Ray Burkhead's Obituary
Donald Ray Burkhead, 74, of Dyersburg, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was retired from the street department for the City of Dyersburg and a member of South Fork Baptist Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at South Fork Baptist Church with the Rev. John Wayne Fowler officiating. Burial will be in South Fork Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria Dean Burkhead of Dyersburg; a sister, Joyce Clendinnin of Halls; and a brother, Buddy Burkhead of Dyersburg.
He was preceded in death by his son, Stephen R. Burkhead; and his parents, Newt and Annie Mae Coulston Burkhead.
Pallbearers will be William Terry, Ike Palmer, Lloyd Littles, Kenny Rood, Bubba Smith, and Josh Hicks. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith V. Burkhead, Jeff Burkhead, Joel Burkhead, and Tony Clendenin.
