Donald Emmit Burgess, Jr.'s Obituary
Donald Burgess, Jr., 56, of Dyersburg, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a pipe inspector for Tenaris Steel in Blytheville, AR and was a member of Finley United Pentecostal Church. Mr. Burgess was also a member of Tae Kwon Do, an avid outdoorsman and woodworker and loved to cook.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug Ellingsworth and Bro. Steve Walker officiating.
The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Deana Hodge Burgess of Dyersburg; a son, Chad Burgess of Salem, IL; a step-daughter, Jodi Newsome Swain (Bryant)of Dyersburg; his mother, Josie Holtzapfel of Grants Pass, Oregon; two brothers, Jimmy Holtzapfel of Oregon and Ben Burgess of Cypress, CA; a sister, Annie Haskins of Oregon; and one grandchild, Natalie Burgess.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Emmit Burgess, Sr. and his sister, Carol Tetz.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Finley United Pentecostal Church Building Fund.
