Dixie Mitchell's Obituary
Dixie Mitchell, 95, of Tiptonville, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2015 at Baptist Hospital in Union City.
She worked at Morris Camp, Cypress Point Gift Shop and at Boyette's Restaurant. Miss Dixie was a member of Burrus Chapel Church of Christ.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Burrus Chapel Church of Christ with Mr. Ray King officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 12:30-2:30 p.m. Monday at the church.
Survivors include her sister, Mary Frances Richardson of Tiptonville; and three nieces, Rose Burkett, Fran Hearn and Jan Boyd, all of Tiptonville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mamie Burrus Mitchell.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Hearn, Chad Hearn, Jonathan Bartlett and Calvin Mills. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Cain, Wilkes Moore, Slayden Hicks, Harold Lee Rhodes, J.D. Mitchell and Melvin Barnes.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Burrus Chapel Church of Christ.
