Dixie Wise Borden, 74, of Dyersburg, died Friday, June 18, 2010 at her residence.
She was a retired bookkeeper after 36 years with First Tennessee Bank, a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she was a member of the Choir, Keenagers and the Bontheo Circle, a member of the Red Hat Society, a member of Dyersburg Regional Medical Center's Senior Circle, a member of Dyersburg and Newbern Saddle Clubs, and a former employee of Wal-Mart and Q-Mart.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Larry Blakeburn officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors at the church on Saturday from 5-7 p.m. and Sunday from 2-3 p.m.
Survivors include her husband, Robert B. Borden of Dyersburg; three daughters, Charlene Clement and husband, John, and Carol Mecklin and husband, Bobby, all of Munford and Cathy Throgmorton and husband, Stan, of Dyersburg, a son, Charles "Chuck" Moore and wife, Jean, of Dyersburg; a brother, Walter Albert Wise of Bartlett; twelve grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mary Harvell Wise; and a sister, Mary Zenith Wise.
Pallbearers will be David Doss, Josh Doss, John Mecklin, Isaac Mecklin, John Scott Sartain, Bryce Carden, Daniel Morgan and Mark Mogle.
The family requests that memorial may be directed to the music fund at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
