It is with deep respect and heartfelt remembrance that we honor the life of Dimple Dean Merryman, who passed away on May 8, 2026, at the Okeena Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born on September 3, 1940, in Bonicord, Tennessee, Dimple’s life was a testament to devotion, faith, and service.
Dimple dedicated herself as a Medical Assistant at Parkview Hospital, where her compassionate nature and professionalism touched all who had the privilege of knowing her. Beyond her professional career, she embraced her role within her community and church with unwavering commitment. A devoted member of the Second Baptist Church, she served faithfully as a Pastor’s wife for 52 years. Her passion for working in the church and serving others was a cornerstone of her life, reflecting her profound love for her Lord and the Christian faith she so deeply cherished.
Known as an all-around good Christian woman, Dimple was beloved for her warmth and generosity. She was a great mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Her talents extended to her home, where she found joy in cooking and sewing—crafting her daughter’s wedding and prom dresses with loving care. She also enjoyed shopping, a pastime that brought her much pleasure.
Dimple is survived by her daughters, Shelby Merryman of Dyersburg, Tennessee, and Elizabeth Merryman; her grandchildren, Tabetha Moore (Tim), James Reagan, and Susan Landfield (Jacob); and her great-grandchildren, Bradley McBroom, Levi Landfield, and Lena Reagan. Their lives are a living legacy of the love and kindness she so freely gave.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Merryman, and her parents, Ellis Leroy Boone and Louella Canada Boone.
Family, friends, and all who knew Dimple are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on May 11, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the West Dyersburg Church of Christ, located at 820 Hwy 51 Bypass North, Dyersburg, Tennessee. The funeral service will follow on May 12, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the same location with Bro. Jim Chamblee officiating. Burial will follow in Woodville Cemetery in Ripley, TN. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Dimple Dean Merryman’s steadfast faith, gentle spirit, and generous heart have left an indelible mark on all who were blessed to know her. She will be remembered with honor, gratitude, and enduring love.
