Dewey Wayne McLean, 75, of Memphis, TN, formerly of Dyersburg, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Unity Psychiatric Care in Memphis.
Dewey was born on May 5, 1945, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late, Robert and Allie Woods McLean. He was a retired minister and was a member of Woodland Mills Baptist Church. Dewey received his Bachelor's Degree from Memphis State University. He played the piano for the Gant Quartet and the Melody Boys. Over the years, Dewey played the piano for countless weddings and funerals.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at New Haven Cemetery with the Rev. Rick Burton officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 1:30-2:45 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Dyersburg Funeral Home Ridgely Chapel.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Baker McLean of Memphis, TN; a daughter, Rebekah Fields (Andrew) of Cordova, TN; a brother, Robert Gaylon McLean of Dyersburg, TN; a nephew, Eugene McLean; three nieces, Cathy McLean, Gloria McLean and Penny Nale; and a host of cousins.
