Dewey Larry Christian III, 79, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

Larry was born on May 28, 1942, in Piedmont, AL, to the late Dewey Larry Christian and Mary Alice McGowan Christian. He was a retired truck driver with Volunteer Express and was a member of Oak Grove Church of Christ. Larry loved fishing, farming, and spending time with family and friends, especially the grandbabies and great-great-grandbabies. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2022 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Mr. Rusty Hilliard, Jr., Mr. Tim Miller and Bro. Jacky Goad officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive visitors starting at 9 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Survivors include his son, Russ Christian (Tim) of Knoxville, TN; two daughters, Angela Muncy (Larry) of Maryville, TN and Renae Pickard (Khris) of Dyersburg, TN; three brothers, James Glass of Michigan, Tommy Burton of Loudon, TN and Bobby Glass of Piedmont, AL; three sisters, Linda Stambaugh of Piedmont, AL, Darlene Russ of Michigan and Freida Glass of Durand, MI; two grandchildren, Robert Lee Chandler, Jr. and Brittany Chandler; and four great-grandchildren, Zaekyn Cox, Paxton Hightower, Ariel Chandler and Isaac Chandler.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Janie Hilliard Christian.

Pallbearers will be Rusty Hilliard, Sr., David Hilliard, Will Hilliard, Justin Henson, Jeff Hudson and Tommy Reed. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Lee Chandler, Christopher Stambaugh, Matthew Stambaugh and Dakota Nee.
