David Tubbs' Obituary
David Tubbs, 87, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born on April 24, 1930, in Parsons, TN. David was a laborer for West Tennessee Soybean Mill.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 15, 2018 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Mr. Wilford Mobley officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Mamie Tubbs of Dyersburg; two sons, David R. "Peanut" Tubbs of Clifton and Albert L. "Cotton" Tubbs of Dyersburg; a sister, Daisy Wilson of Bessie Bend, KY; three grandchildren, Heather Tubbs Reeves, Catherine Ann Anderson and Brandon Lee Tubbs; and five great-grandchildren, Madison Reeves, Cayla Anderson, Maggie Anderson, Maygen Tubbs and Baylee Tubbs.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ludie Hedge Tubbs.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Tubbs, Andy Anderson, Mike Glozier, Levi Henson, Alan Sims and Edward Copeland. Honorary pallbearer will be Cody Cook.
The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
