David Lynn Seaton, 75, of Springville, TN. passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at Henry County Medical Center.

David was born on March 15, 1948, in Dyersburg, TN, to the late Vernon Leon Seaton and Alma Christine Wheeler Seaton. He worked in construction for Seaton & Son Construction Company and was a professional fisherman. David was a 1966 graduate of Dyersburg High School and a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He was a member of the Dyersburg Bass Club, the Paris Landing Tourism League and the Dyer County Fair Board. David was the owner of Fishtale Lodge for 20 years, loved his two dogs, Max and Mattie and was a member of the Baptist Church. David proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps.

Memorial visitation for Mr. David Seaton will be 3-5 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Dyersburg Funeral Home. Bring your best memories of David and share them with Sharon and the family.

A celebration of David's life will be announced later, to be held in Paris, TN.

Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Sharon Seaton of Paris, TN; a son, Cale Seaton (Tracy) of Paris, TN; two daughters, Shannon Seaton Essary (Monty) and Kelley Seaton, all of Dyersburg, TN; three grandchildren, Ella Seaton, Easton Essary and Todd Essary; two great-grandchildren, Lucas and Laken; his aunt, Doris Simmons of Finley, TN; and numerous cousins.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, A.C. and Elise Bridgewater.
