David Lee Pilkerton, 68, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

He was born on January 23, 1950, in Chicago, IL, to the late Paul Pilkerton and the late Ellie Thomas Hopper. David was a retired employee of Colonial Rubber and served his country in the United States Army.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2018 at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Ray Winstead officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Family members and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Survivors include his three sons, David Wayne Pilkerton of Dyersburg, Shannon Pilkerton of Newbern and Cassidy Pilkerton of Indianapolis, IN; two step-children, Jennifer Riggs Bechert of Indianapolis, IN and Eddie Riggs, Jr. of Atoka; and three sisters, Lois Pilkerton, Sharon Shawver, both of Dyersburg and Wanda Rickman of Newbern.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Paula Janice Burns; and two brothers, William Pilkerton and John Alton Pilkerton.
