Obituary

David Allen Parker, 39, of Lowell, Ind., formerly of Dyersburg, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009 at St. Anthony's Hospital.

He was a robotics engineer, attended Lighthouse Apostolic Church in Greenfield, was a 1988 graduate of Dyersburg High School, a U.S. Navy veteran of six years serving as an electronics technician in Desert Storm, and an avid softball player and coach.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Lynn McCall and the Rev. Jeff Smith officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Elaine Parker of Lowell, Ind.; a daughter, Chelsea Ruth Parker of Dyersburg; three sons, Tyler Johnson, Jacob Hegeduis and Noah Cecil Parker, all of Lowell, Ind.; his parents, Jerry and JoNell Howell Parker of McKenzie; two sisters, Donna Parker Haynes of Dyersburg and Kimberly Parker Mills of Tiptonville; and a brother, Jerry Parker Jr. of McKenzie.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Cecil and Ethel Parker, and Edith Howell.

Pallbearers will be Steve Arwood, Evan Parker, Derek Parker, Jerry Bailey, Rob Petty, Tyler Haynes, John Baker and Michael Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be John Caleb Ables and Jerry Parker Jr.
