David Maurice McClain, 64, of Union City, TN, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at Baptist Hospital in Union City.

David was born on November 25, 1955, in Chicago, IL to Phyllis Heffron McClain and the late Maurice McClain. He was a truck driver for Helena Chemical and was a former private pilot. David worked for 8 years as a Corporal for the Lake County Correctional Facility and used to work with his father in the Maurice McClain Inc. Wholesale Meats. He enjoyed duck hunting, fishing and beekeeping.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 5, 2020 in the Tiptonville Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Justin Hines officiating. Burial will be in Tiptonville City Cemetery.

The McClain Family will receive visitors from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, July 5, 2020 at the Dyersburg Funeral Home Tiptonville Chapel.

Survivors include his wife, Terrie Barton McClain of Union City, TN; a daughter, Staci Rose Blankenship (Phil) of Plainfield, IL; three sons, David Maurice McClain II (Myshelle) of Manchester, TN, Brian Thomas McClain (Jamie) of Tinley Park, IL and Joseph Carl McClain of Missouri; his mother, Phyllis McClain of Tiptonville, TN; three sisters, Debra Leake (Jimmy) and Sandy Work (David), all of Tiptonville, TN and Wanda Feltz (Greg) of Highland, IN; and seven grandchildren.
