David Miachel Maxwell, age 71, of Hoover, AL, formally of Dyersburg passed away Monday, July 26, 2021 at his residence in Hoover, AL.

David was born on March 31, 1950 in Dyersburg, TN to the late Arvie D. Maxwell and Mattie Sue Maxwell. David worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Southern Company for over 40 years. David also enjoyed spending time outside doing yard work, spending time with family, and loved playing with his grandson Cooper.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by those he leaves behind, including: his wife, Cheryl S. Maxwell; daughters, Julie Maxwell and Lisa Terry (Andy); grandson, Cooper; sisters, Elizabeth Binkley (Cecil) and Cynthia Greene (Dempsy); and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceeded in death by his brother, Lamarr Roberson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021 from 12:00pm to 2:00 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home in Hoover, AL and also Saturday, July 31, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Graveside services for David Maxwell will be held at 4 p.m. at Dyer County Memorial Gardens in Dyersburg, TN.

Honoring Mr. David as pallbearers will be family and friends.
