Mr. David Kent Lovell, Sr, age 72, passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025 at Volunteer Medical Center in Martin, TN.

He was born February 24, 1952 in Ridgely, TN to the late William & Bennie Dale Lovell. For many years, he worked in production for Colonial Rubberworks in Dyersburg. He was a Baptist, by faith, and was devoted to his family members. He was a caring man that enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, especially country line-dancing.

David is survived by his two sons, David K. Lovell, Jr. of Carmi, IL and Terry R. Lovell, of Missouri; his brother, Harold Lovell (Sherry) of Centerville, TN; and sister, Cammie Hall (Thomas) of Dyersburg, TN. He was greatly loved as "Pops" by his eighteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers William & Charles Lovell and sister, Faye Holmes.

Visitation will be held at the Dyersburg Funeral Home Ridgely Chapel, beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. Graveside funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. at New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely, conducted by Bro. Carmen Dennison.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Gary McCollum, Jr, Rickey Allen Baggett, Gary Lynn Alexander, Jon Ryan Stover, Justin Todd and Jacob Lovell.
