David Franklin Gean, 63, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017 at his residence.

He was born on May 28, 1953 in Crockett County, TN to the late Burl Franklin Gean and the late Mary Frances Harper Gean. David was a retired Staff Sergeant with the United States Air Force. He was also a former dispatcher for the Tennessee Highway Patrol and was an avid hunter.

Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Mr. Larry Fowlkes officiating.

The family will receive visitors from 2-3 p.m. Thursday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his uncle and aunt, Malcom and Betty Gean of Dyersburg; and his cousins, Mary Thurmond and husband, Ron, and their children, all of Brighton, Dr. Rodney Gean of Nashville, Patricia Gilmore of Pensacola, FL, Janice White of Dyersburg, Linda Lyons of New Orleans, LA and Ann Carman of New Orleans, LA.
