Mr. Danny Hollingsworth passed away Saturday, Aug 28, 2021, at his home in Newbern, TN surrounded by his family. Danny was the youngest son of the late Leslie and Louise Hollingsworth.

Danny believed in working hard. He owned and operated a drywall business and cattle farm for 45years. Upon retirement, he invested in residential properties and managed them with his wife and son. Danny served his country from 1969-1971 in the United States Army and received an Honorable Discharge for his national service.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Mrs. Vickie Ratliff Hollingsworth, the joy of his life, his son, Joe Dan Hollingsworth, his wife Hilary Hollingsworth, and grandchildren Cambry Hollingsworth and Brice Capps of Spring Hill. Also survives Danny is a special niece, Leigh Ann Roberson and special great niece, Taylor Roberson of Dyersburg, TN.

Danny is survived by two sisters, Virginia Glass of Dyersburg, TN, and Dorothy Fielder of Obion, TN, and one brother, Melvin Hollingsworth, also of Obion, TN. He is preceded in death by two sisters, Agnes Hollingsworth and Mary Smith, two brothers Lynn Hollingsworth and Edward Hollingsworth.

Public visitation will be held Friday, Sept 3 ^rd , 2021, at 1pm in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home. Pastor Jeff Hall will officiate funeral services at 2pm along with a special tribute to his dad led by Joe Hollingsworth.  Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg with Brice Capps, Chad Cooper, Sr, DJ Peery, Heath Hunt, Joe Prichard and Matt Nale honored to serve as pallbearers.
