Obituary

Daniel Claude Zehner, 92, of Dyersburg, died Monday, March 29, 2010 at his residence.

He was a retired Senior Master Sgt. of the U.S. Air Force WWII, a member of First United Methodist Church, retired 23 years as a WWII U.S. Air Force Veteran, a member of American Military Association, a member of Airline Operators & Pilots Association, a member of National Association for Uniformed Services, and a retired employee of United Airlines.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Bell Vernon Cemetery, in Friendship with Dr. Phillip Cook officiating.

The family will receive visitors from 12-2:30 p.m. Thursday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Ada Hicks Zehner, of Dyersburg; a daughter, Jane Marks and husband, Thomas, of San Carlos, CA.; three sisters, Betty Dietrich, of Sugar Loaf, PA., Dorothy Gerhard and Virginia Shank, both of Pennsylvania; a brother, Clair Zehner, of Pennsylvania; and a grandchild, Shane Ramirez.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Mildred Ansbach Zehner; three sisters, Alma Hartranft, Joyce Torck, and Evelyn Waggner; and four brothers, Fred Zehner, Ben Zehner, Carl Zehner, and Wright Zehner.

Pallbearers will be Tom Marks, Harry Jordan, Keith Pitts, Vernon Jones, Jim Lucas, and Jerry Lucas.

Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
