Obituary

Daisy Pearl White, 90, of Ridgely, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at The Bridge at Ridgely.

She was a retired teacher for Lake County School System and a graduate of Bethel College. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Ridgely. She had been a Sunday School Teacher for 51 years and a member of Lake County Retired Teachers Association.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Ridgely with Bro. Danny O'Guin and the Rev. Jack Henry officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the church.

Survivors include her three sons, Gary White and wife, Rhonda, of Tiptonville, Larry White and wife, Kay, of Dyersburg and Tony White and wife, Jill, of Tiptonville; five grandchildren, Tonja Rushing and husband, Todd, Justin White, Whitney Allmon and husband, Tommy, Jenny Lynn Smith and husband, Brian, and Jonanne Pike and husband, Richard; seven great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Wilkes Moore.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Holland White; her parents, Asa "Dutch" and Dessie Orr Caton; and her three brothers and sisters-in-law, Earl and Altheadie Caton, Martin and Catherine Caton and Hildred and Ruth Caton.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Barnes, Howard Todd, Roland Pope, David Roberson, Wayne Hatley and Kenneth Ballinger. Honorary pallbearers will be Wilkes Moore and Mac Forrester.

The family requests that memorials be directed to Margaret Newton Scholarship Fund, First Baptist Church in Ridgely, Wynnburg Baptist Church or to the charity of the donor's choice.
