Mrs. Cynthia Carol Greene, of Dyersburg, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025 at her home.  She was born May 19, 1953 to the late Arvie and Mattie Sue Maxwell.  She was a devoted teacher, spending 34 years in the classroom teaching elementary age students at Central Elementary, Jennie Bell and Dyersburg Primary School.  She was a life-long member of Parrish Chapel Baptist Church, where she served as song-leader for over 50 years.  In her free-time she enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles and making pottery.  She cherished time spent with her grandsons William and Benjamin.

Cynthia is survived by her husband, Dempsy Greene, a daughter Emily Kolwyck and husband, Jonathan, a sister Elizabeth Binkley, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and was greatly loved as "NeNe" by her grandsons William and Benjamin Kolwyck.  She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers David Michael Maxwell and Lamarr Roberson.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Dyersburg Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. conducted by Mr. Kevin Sellars and Mr. Jesse Hopkins.  Interment will follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.  Jonathan Kolwyck, Joshua and Caleb Sellars, Tristan Newsom, Bradley Clark, Sydney Peckenpaugh and Chris Stewart will serve as pallbearers.  Benjamin and William Kolwyck, Jerry Wayne Weddington, Scotty Fortner, Charlie Dunn, Tommy Binkley, Vick Burns and Johnny Lambert will be honorary pallbearers.

The family request that memorials be directed to the women's ministries of Parrish Chapel Baptist Church in lieu of flowers.
