Obituary

C.V. "Dee" Permenter, 92, of Dyersburg, died Monday, May 10, 2010 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

He was a retired farmer, attended Finley Pentecostal Church, an Army veteran of WWII and an avid Domino player.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his two daughters, Deeann Lovelace and husband, Gene, and Krista Lewis and husband, Bill, all of Dyersburg; a son, Thomas "Bubba" Permenter of Dyersburg; a sister, Jettie Pritchett of Finley; two grandchildren, Christy Riggs of Atoka and Tim Lovelace of Dyersburg; two step-grandchildren, Jamie Rodgers of Sikeston, MO. and Dr. Brad Lewis of Springfield, MO.; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Bill Lewis, Gene Lovelace, Tim Lovelace, Herman Reed, Jerry Presley and Brad Lewis. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Adams, Jerry Willis, Cotton Worley, Frank Miller, J.C. Crews, Robert Jones, Buddy Byars, Earl Gatlin, Gary Hastings and Harold Holt.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Permenter; his parents, James E. and Mossie Bradley Permenter; and two brothers, V.E. "Buck" Permenter and Clifford Permenter.
