Mr. Jackson Connor Grimes, age 24, passed away Friday, December 27, 2024 in Dyersburg, TN.

Connor was born October 31, 2000 to Rena and Jackie Grimes. His talents and passion for his work led him to maintenance and welding for Systems Contracting Group in Blytheville, AR. He is fondly remembered for his sense of humor, often at the expense of family or friends and his love of the outdoors. He enjoyed duck hunting, off-road riding and time spent with his dog, Ace. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Obion Fire Department. His greatest love was for his wife and soulmate, since their early teens, Skylare and he was excited for their next adventure together, becoming parents.

Connor is survived by his wife, Skylare Birkes Grimes; his mother, Rena Pollock Grimes; his father, Jackie Grimes; his sisters, Candice Grimes Chessor and Carigan Grimes; his grandmother, Kim Emery; and many aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jerry & Ann Grimes, Pete Pollock and Woody Emery.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home, conducted by Bro. Van Kissell. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Zion Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Dalton McGuire, JayLee Hobbs, Jack Anderson, Carter Bloxom, Branten Smith, Chad Gammons, Kansas Leedy and Nait Leedy. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackie Grimes, Caleb Pollock, Bruce Thompson, Keaton Kingston and Steve Jones.
