Clyde Neal Casteel, 77, of Ridgely, died Monday, October 19, 2009 at the Veteran's Hospital in Memphis.
He was a retired clerk and stocker for Wal-Mart, a member of First Baptist Church in Ridgely and a Army veteran of the Korean War.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Ridgely with the Rev. Richard Braggs officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely.
The family will receive visitors at 5:30-8 p.m.Thursday at the church.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Grace Leake Casteel of Ridgely; a daughter, Kim Calhoun and husband, Lewis, of Lakeland, FL.; three sons, Robin Casteel and wife, Sharon, of Canton, OH., Mark Casteel and wife, Cindy, of Winter Haven, FL. and Berry Casteel of Ridgely; two sisters, Annie Sawyers of Kenton and Eloise Rose of Clinton; three brothers, Norman Casteel of La Porte, IN., Jackie Casteel of Chattanooga and Freddie Casteel of Walkerton, IN.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Molly Young Casteel and a grandchild, Jeffrey Shrimplin.
Pallbearers will be Butch Crittenden, Jay Crittenden, Jason Leake, Jordan Casteel, Jonathan Stewart, Kent Patterson and Byron Wyrick.
