Clyde Lawrence Bottoms, 102, of Dyersburg, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Maple Ridge Manor.
He was a retired insurance agent for Life of Georgia, where he worked for 35 years and was a founding member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Lynn King officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Friday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Bottoms of Dyersburg; two daughters, Shelia Berlin and husband, Sandy, of Memphis and Delaine Bottoms of Jackson; a son, Tommy Bottoms and wife, Dena, of Dyersburg; a sister, Maxine Bottoms of Phoenix, AZ; a brother, Noah Bottoms of Dyersburg; four grandchildren, Amy Kellum, Richard Webb, Trey Berlin and Eric Bottoms; four great-grandchildren, Nathan Webb, Jamie Kellum, McKenzie Kellum and Katie Kellum; and one great-great-granddaughter, Ava Kellum.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Bottoms; his parents, Paschal and Ollie Halliburton Bottoms; a grandson, Joe Webb; four sisters, Eva Runions, Mary French, Inez Talbott and Edna Young; and two brothers, Clarence Bottoms and Paschal "Bub" Bottoms.
Pallbearers will be Richard Webb, Trey Berlin, Sandy Berlin, Eric Bottoms, Jamie Kellum, Lewis Kellum and Nathan Webb. Honorary pallbearer will be Terry Nash.
