Clyde Calvin Asher, 87, of Van Buren, MO, formerly of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at his residence.

Clyde was born on September 16, 1932, in Gladden, MO, to the late Jackson and Lillian Prater Asher. He was a retired heavy construction worker. Clyde loved horses, fishing and hunting. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2020 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Phipps officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

The Asher Family will receive visitors from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his six daughters, Debra Weeks of Dyersburg, TN, Diana Holland of Van Buren, MO, Linda Gerlacher of Washington, DC, Rhonda Asher of Evansville, IL, Brenda Cox of Jacksonville, FL and Sharon Krissinger of Finley, TN; three sons, Kevin Asher and Mark Asher, both of Finley, TN and David Asher of Dyersburg, TN; a sister, Judy Bowlen of Chester, IL; eighteen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Asher; a son, Clay Asher; two brothers; seven sisters; and a granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be Jason Holland, Kristopher Holland, Cody Holland, John Faulk, Jeremy Asher, Chad Asher and Brandon Asher.
