Obituary

Clint Alan Wallace, 37, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Regional One in Memphis.

He was born on July 30, 1981, in Dyersburg, TN, to Barry L. Wallace and Patty Wallace Harris. Clint was a K-9 Officer for the Dyer County Sheriff's Department from 2011-2018, where he had received multiple certifications. He attended First Christian Church, was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved all things outdoors. Attending Dyersburg High School, Clint went on later in life to receive his B.S. in criminal justice from Bethel University. He was a veteran and had been a Sergeant in the United States Army, where he received the following honors: Soldier of The Cycle in boot camp, first in his class in marksmanship, he was the distinguished soldier at Redstone Alabama Army Base and advanced to PV2 out of boot camp. He was stationed at Ft. Campbell, where he was a member of the 5th Special Forces Group. Clint served back to back tours in Iraq and served in a joint deployment with the Navy at the Horn of Africa.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Dyer County High School with Bro. Jim Tom Pilcher officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The Wallace Family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2018 and from 12-2 p.m. Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Dyer County High School.

Survivors include his wife, Shellye Pruitt Wallace of Dyersburg; two daughters, Jenna Lynn Wallace and Catherine "Caty Jewel" Wallace, both of Dyersburg; his mother and step-father, Patty and Terry Harris of Dyersburg; his father and step-mother, Barry and Kay Wallace of Sugar Tree; a sister, Kayla Wallace of Murray, KY; and his grandparents, George and Marie Wallace of Dyersburg and Charlotte Cullipher of Abbeville, MS.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Harvey Cullipher.

Pallbearers will be Terry Akins, Micah Brown, Chris Chism, Chad Jackson, Trae Johnson, Mike Sentell, Michael Walker and Derek Whitson. Honorary pallbearers will be the Dyer County Sheriff's Department and the West Tennessee Drug Task Force 29th District.
