Cletus "Choppy" Roberson, 58, of Newbern, formerly of Ridgely, died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2009 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was a retired employee of Colonial Rubber and a member of Cottonwood Grove Baptist Church in Ridgely.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Ridgely chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Mackie Prince officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely.
The family will receive visitors at 5:30-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include a daughter, Lori Roberson of Ridgely; a son, Mark Roberson and wife, Melissa, of Newbern; a sister, Pat Brown of Paducah, Ky.; a brother, W.C. Roberson of Ridgely; and two grandchildren, Tyler Roberson and Alison Roberson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Beulah Roberson.
Pallbearers will be Kent Roberson, Dennis Dill, Stan Shelton, David Bargery, Michael Lynn Prince and David Hicks. Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Nance, Kenneth Boyd, Joe Marvin and Sammy Price.
