Claudie Sherman Gaskins, 93, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Harborview Dyersburg.

Claudie was born on December 25, 1927, in Hornbeak, TN to the late, Willis Edgar McKinley Gaskins and the late Viola Lynch Gaskins. He was a retired associate with Homestead and also from Dean Foods. Claudie was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and was a longtime member of Woodmen of the World. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Dyer County Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Lynn King officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Family members and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Luna Viar Gaskins of Dyersburg, TN; a son, Sherman Gaskins and wife, Amy, of Sherrill's Ford, NC; a daughter, Tammy Hayes and husband, Richard, of Dyersburg, TN; four grandchildren, Leslie Gaskins Bardo and husband, David, Logan Gaskins and wife, Kristin, Brandon Hayes and wife, Cara, and Laura Hayes Davis and husband, Brad; and ten great-grandchildren, Linley Bardo, Leah Bardo, Andrew Gaskins, Jameson Gaskins, Isabelle Pitts, Ryker Hayes, Reese Hayes, Riverlee Hayes, Bladyn Davis and Bryce Davis.

Pallbearers will be Brad Davis, Richard Hayes, Brandon Hayes, Ryker Hayes, Logan Gaskins and Andrew Gaskins.
