Clare M. Algee, 88, of Tiptonville, TN, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2019 at Reelfoot Manor and Rehabilitation.

She was born on April 9, 1930, in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, to the late C.B. and Mabel Warren Makin. Clare was a retired teacher for the Lake County School System, where she taught for 42 years. She was a member of Tiptonville Church of Christ and was a graduate of David Lipscomb University.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at the Tiptonville Church of Christ with Mr. Wilford Mobley officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her husband, Samuel F. Algee of Tiptonville; two nephews, Brad Makin and Tom Makin; and two nieces, Mary Makin and Catherine Makin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Makin; and a brother, Buddy Makin.
