Clara Ann Swofford Wyrick, 70, of Memphis, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2015 at her residence.
She was a retired administrative assistant for the State of Tennessee. Clara was a graduate of Dyersburg High School and attended Memphis State University. She was an entrepreneur, mother and caregiver for her grandchildren. She was also active in church and other various community events.
Services will be at 12 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. David Smith officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Monday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include her former husband and friend, Mike Wyrick of Memphis; a son, Chris Wyrick and wife, Felicia, of Las Vegas, NV; two daughters, Rebekah and husband, Matt, of Knoxville and Libby Wyatt and husband, Wes, of Memphis; six grandchildren, Isabella Wyrick, Joshua Wyrick, Noah Wyrick, Kate Wyatt, Caroline Wyatt and Amelia Wyatt; and her special canine companions, Bo and Boo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Mary Edna Armstrong Swofford; a brother, Marshall Swofford; and a sister, Jane Rae Calcutt.
Pallbearers will be Carney Ray Calcutt, Chris Wyrick, Matt Wilson, Conner Calcutt, Wes Wyatt and John Armstrong, Jr.
