Clara Seratt Cooley Coleman, 87, of Dyersburg, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2015 at her residence.
She was a retired grocery store clerk at Piggly Wiggly and was a member of First Christian Church. Clara was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Nathe Ozment officiating.
Survivors include her two daughters, Kay Cooley Permenter and husband, Marty, and Sandra Cooley, all of Dyersburg; a son, Barry Cooley and wife, Cherry, of Dyersburg; ten grandchildren, Kelly Williams and husband, Dan, Jamie McNeely and wife, Tina, Holly Fowler and husband, Josh, Heidi Holden and husband, Jimmy, Lori Garner, Shari Cottrell and husband, Barry, Buffie Canada, Beth Baggett and husband, Chris, Jennie Hickson and husband, Brad, and Jessica Franklin; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and ten great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Coleman; and her parents, Grady B. and Iva McGaugh Seratt.
Honorary pallbearers will be Josh Fowler, Jimmy Holden, Dan Williams, Jamie McNeely, Barry Cottrell and Brad Hickson.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
