Christine Perkins Pennington's Obituary
Christine Perkins Pennington, 87, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at her residence.
She was born on December 19, 1930, in Big Sandy, TN, to the late Alton Ray Perkins and the late Thelma Lee Perkins. Christine was a homemaker. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, where she was involved in numerous activities. Christine was a member of the Garden Club and the Bridge Club.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Ed White officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Family members and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
Survivors include her son, Donald Ray Pennington and wife, Molly, of Dyersburg; a daughter, Betty Sue Pennington of Dyersburg; a sister, Naomi Hay of Chattanooga; two grandchildren, Kaley Ray Pennington Bell of Nashville and Parks Evan Pennington of Franklin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Donald Pennington; and a brother, Hilray Perkins.
The family requests that memorials be directed to First United Methodist Church or to the Alzheimer's Research Foundation at www.alzfdn.org
