Chief Master Sergeant Billy Robert Hurst, 80, of San Antonio, TX, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at the Methodist Main Hospital in San Antonio, TX.

Billy was born on September 2, 1943, in Dyer County TN, to the late Eley and Claudie McCutcheon Hurst. After dedicating 30 years in the military, he retired as a Chief Master Sergeant with the United States Air Force as an Air Traffic Controller.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Fairview Cemetery with Dr. Alvin McGill officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The Hurst Family will receive visitors from 1-1:45 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include his son, Brian Scott Hurst and wife, Angie, of San Antonio, TX; a sister, Martha Yarbro of Kingston Springs, TN; and three grandchildren, Tyler Hurst, Trey Hurst and Briley Hurst, all of San Antonio, TX.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
