Chester P. Sorrell's Obituary
Chester P. Sorrell, 82, of Dyersburg, died Monday, January 7, 2013 at Jackson Regional Hospital.
He was a retired owner of several service stations and a member of First Baptist Church.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph Buckley and the Rev. Charles Halliburton officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his daughter, Cheryl Maxwell and husband, David, of Hoover, AL; his daughter-in-law, Martha Jones Sorrell of Dyersburg; three grandchildren, Julie Maxwell of Birmingham, AL, Chris Sorrell of Dyersburg and Lisa Maxwell Terry of Helena, AL; one great-grandchild, Cooper Maxwell Terry; and his friend and caregiver, Judy Campbell of Dyersburg.
He was preceded in death by his son, Johnnie D. Sorrell; and his parents, Johnny W. and Fannie Chester Sorrell.
