Chester E. Butcher, 84, of Dyersburg, died Monday, Dec. 21, 2009 at Oakwood Community Living Center.
He was a body shop owner of Butch's Body Shop and a retired employee of the Department of Corrections in Lake County and a member of Parr Avenue Church of Christ.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Fairview Cemetery with Mr. R.M. Palmer officiating.
The family will receive visitors at 9 a.m. today at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include a daughter, Judy Meeks and husband, Bud, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two sons, Ron Butcher and wife, Shirley, and Tommy Butcher and wife, Judy, all of Dyersburg; two sisters, Darlene Bulstrode of Cheyenne, Wyo. and Ester Hargrove of Colorado Springs, Colo.; five grandchildren, Brad Butcher, Nick Butcher, Jason Meeks, Ashlee Butcher and Katie Richardson; and three great-grandchildren, Brandon Butcher, Blake Butcher and Conner Richardson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene Butler; and his parents, Harley and Annie Davison Butcher.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Lowery, David Lowery, Ted Lowery, Ron Butcher, Tommy Butcher and Brian Lindsey.
The family request that any memorials be directed to Parr Avenue Church of Christ.
