Cheryl Lee Kaplan, 71, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

Cheryl was born on January 17, 1953, in Owosso, MI, to the late Robert and Arlene Scott Somers. She was an adult education coordinator with the TCAT in Ripley and loved spending time with her family. Cheryl enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, doing yard work and tending to her flower beds.

Visitation will be Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Cremation services are under the direction of Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her two daughters, Stacy Stewart (Chris) of Halls, TN and Libby King (Ronnie) of Dyersburg, TN; a son, Greg Yeiter (Kim) of Newbern, TN; two sisters, Patty Capel of Greenfield, IN and Carolyn Folkes (Don) of Elsie, MI; five grandchildren, Alee Jones Sanders (Ricky), Katie Jones (Zach), Natalie Jones, Austin King and Andi Bell (Jeremy); and two great-grandchildren, Savannah King and Layla Cates.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Kaplan; a daughter, Lesli Kaplan; and a grandson, David King.
