Charlotte Ann Sorrell, 78, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
She was a retired Social Studies Teacher for Caruthersville, MO School System, member and Sunday School Teacher at First Baptist Church, member of Daughters of the American Revolution, Chairman Emeritus of Baptist Student Union at DSCC and a mentor for Transitions.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Hickman and the Rev. Raymond Boston officiating. Burial will be in Ripley Memorial Gardens. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Dyersburg Funeral Home and from 12-1 p.m. Friday at the church.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Sorrell of Dyersburg; a son, Kelly Sorrell and wife, Sherry, of Jackson; a grandson, Johnathan Sorrell of Jackson; and a sister, Shirley Roberts and husband, Tommy, of Halls.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Beatrice Enderson Prichard.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Baker, Joe Wright, Stan Cavness, Bob Sugg, Frank Horner and David Duncan. Honorary pallbearer will be Rev. Joe Naylor.
